Anniversary In June is young indie – rock band from Prague, which is reffered to as czech “Hooverophonic”. The band describes their music as “indie-rock guitar band with electronic elements” inspired by Britpop, indie independent scene and the island guitar wave.
The band introduced itself in the end of 2012 in Capeau Rouge. Since then played several successful concerts and AIJ are currently working on their first album. It’s supposed to come out in autumn 2014 and among other song it will include singles Hannah and The Fall, produced under the supervision of producer Dušan Lipert (ex-Ohm Square) and Philip Gemrotha (Make My Heart Explode).
The songs of the band are dominated mainly by vocal of Linda Dostálková, who is the author of texts, and by guitar of Petr Slovacek, who is also the sole author of the music. Other members of the band Baumruk Petr and Petr Hölgye also not newcomers to czech musical scene. They are both former members of the indie-rock band called Living Room.
